Why are we (women) so obsessed with the number on the scale? Many of us weigh ourselves periodically off and on throughout the day. We become obsessed with it to the point that we over do it without considering the many factors that can cause those two little extra numbers on the scale.
Many women, like me, have allowed some number to define how we feel about ourselves; we allow it to determine if we are succeeding in our fitness journey. The number on the scale should not determine who we are nor should we allow it to define our strengths and beauty inside and out.
A while back, I came across this picture online with the words “I always thought I just wanted to look good until I realized what it felt like to be strong.” Those words have a lot of truth to them; and being a part of Ashley’s Becoming Extraordinary facebook page gives me motivation day in and day out. I began with Charlie Mike a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. Next week I will be starting Hybrid and I am excited to see what changes it will bring.
As for the scale, I got rid of it...I refuse to allow a device to break or make my day.
